This symptom occurs on any computer in any browser.

1. User gets to the login page (https://ghost.waukeganschools.org)
2. An "...problem with the security certificate..." error is displayed. Only choice is OK and then nothing happens.

Resolution

The following scenario is known to produce this error:

1. The Excent Tera System has 128-bit security encryption. This is the same encryption your bank uses for online banking. Therefore, it is very secure. This type of encryption uses a security certificate. When you go to the log in page (https://ghost.waukeganschools.org) it verifies the security certificate. One of the verifications it checks is to see if the certificate has expired. It does this by using your computer's date.
   
   To resolve this issue, at the client machine:
   1. Go to you system preferences (or control panel)
   2. Click the date & time
   3. Fix your computer's date & time
