This document covers the basic installation of Citrix ICA Client for:

Installation

  1. If you are installing on a school computer, login as the administrator.
  2. Download Mozilla (recommended) or Netscape.
  3. Install Mozilla or Netscape by following the installation instructions within the installer.
  4. Download wpsmac10v6.30.zip.
  5. After the file is downloaded, it should automatically decompress.
    You now should have the following files on your computer:
    1. wpsmac10v6.30.zip (Some Macs will remove this file automatically).
    2. Citrix ICA Client (a folder).

    Note: If you computer did not decompress the files. Then you can open the "wpsmac10.zip" file with the application "Expander". If you do not have that application, you can download it free at http://www.stuffit.com/mac

  6. If you already have a "Citrix ICA Client" folder in the Applications folder, then move it to the trash. NOTE: If you are installing a newer (update) Citrix Client make sure that all older Citrix versions are deleted from the harddrive before you move to the next step.
  7. Place the folder "Citrix ICA Client" in your Applications Folder.
  8. You can trash the "wpsmac10v6.30.zip" file (if you have one).
  9. Empty the trash. (If you get an error, just click continue.)
  10. If you are installing on a school computer, log out and log in as the teacher.
  11. Now you are ready to log in. You can log in by going to https://ghost.waukeganschools.org or read the Logging In instructions.
  12. Enter your Waukegan e-mail address and password.
  13. Click on the TSSM (ExcentTera) icon:
  14. If you are installing a newer (update) Citrix Client, then go to step 20.
  15. The very first time you do this you will see the following:
  16. Click the Open it with button, click the choose button, and choose the Citrix ICA Client application. (Remember it should be in your hard drive->Applications->Citrix ICA Client folder.):
  17. Click the open button.
  18. Click the Always perform this action when handling files of this type. Now it should look like the following:
  19. Click the OK button.
  20. Your computer will now connect to ExcentTera. You will see the following screens (If you do not or you get an error, try the troubleshooting section):
  21. The you will be at the ExcentTera Log-In Screen:
  22. Enter your User Id and e-mail password. Note: If you do not know your User Id: 1) Select your school, and 2) Select your name from the menu to the right of the User Id.
  23. Click Ok.
  24. That's it. You are now ready to create/edit an IEP.
